These animations are small sequences of a

group project that I created for 2D animation course.

The purpose of the project was to design and create a

2D animation about Tokamak fusion reactor for

Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation.

This video serves as practical component of my Master’s Research Project— a 2D animation discussing antibiotic resistance and the interconnected nature of health across the biosphere. It explains how the use of antibiotics in farm animals can change the antibiotic resistance status in human medicine. The animation aims to raise awareness about antibiotic resistance, while encouraging people to take action against this threat.

Sketches: The pre-production phase proved to be the most time-consuming aspect of my animated project. It was a constant cycle of revisions as I worked to fine-tune the storyline, figure out the right level of complexity, and ensure smooth transitions between scenes. I spent several months brainstorming, sketching, and experimenting to make sure every aspect of the animation matched my vision.

Production: Initial sketches provided the foundation for creating the final vector assets. Utilizing a custom color palette, I designed style frames to ensure ample color variation for visual salience and to showcase different elements while maintaining a consistent visual style and aesthetic appeal. All assets were crafted either in Adobe Illustrator or natively in After Effects.
